Young people in Japan can now build their financial confidence for free, thanks to an exciting new initiative from MetLife Foundation and international technology company, EVERFI from Blackbaud. The partnership is centred on a new mobile-first education programme, ‘Achieve: Smart Budgeting’, which is available without restriction to all of Japan's 4,000+ high schools.
Developed in collaboration with experts, Achieve: Smart Budgeting is a free digital course which provides an engaging and relevant introduction to the important topic of money management for young people aged 15-18.
Working through five 10-minute online modules, students will develop money management skills by helping high school student Rin as she prepares for a trip to an upcoming music festival. The five modules have strong curriculum links, covering spending, saving, investing, credit and risk.
